Vispring

Luxury beds since 1901

Our story

At the beginning of the 20th century, an English engineer named James Marshall decided to give his wife the most valuable gift of all - perfect sleep. Marshall's mattress was a groundbreaking innovation: for the first time, steel springs were sewn into individual pockets, which guaranteed an unprecedented comfort experience and made Vispring the epitome of luxury.

An ocean of luxury

In 1911, ocean liners were the ultimate way to travel. And they brought Vispring (as the company was now called) its first major orders. The tailor-made comfort of a Vispring mattress was a perfect match for the opulent cabins and suites of the world's most exclusive ships, such as the Titanic and the Olympic.

After decades of innovation and countless bespoke mattresses, Vispring was awarded the Queen's Award for Enterprise in 2012.
